Job description
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician (Workshop & Mobile)
The role
You will be a skilled and professional automotive service technician, specialising in the diagnosis, repair, and servicing of classic Austin and Rover Mini vehicles. Work will be carried out from one of our mobile service vehicles at customer homes or offices, as well as at our fixed workshop locations. As our customers are based throughout the UK, a willingness to travel to various job sites as required is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs specialising in Austin and Rover Mini cars from one of our mobile service vehicles and from fixed workshop locations
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Complete MOT pre checks and repairs as required
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of all work completed
- Liaise with customers to explain issues, provide repair estimates, and offer maintenance advice
- Committed to delivering high quality workmanship and exceptional service
Skills, knowledge and experience required
- Excellent knowledge of Austin and Rover Mini cars, systems and diagnostics
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance and repair (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience as a mechanic in a garage or dealership environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable
- MOT Tester certification (Class 4)
- Additional training or manufacturer accreditations
Must Have
- UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points

Hours and salary
Full time
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Salary: £25,000 per annum
